Yoga as a life practice

This retreat will focus on integrating your yoga into your life, guided by some of the ideas presented in Donna Farhi’s book, Bringing Yoga to Life.
In the book, Donna asks, “Who are you becoming through your practice? Are you becoming the world in which you wish to live?”
We will focus on seeing how things are, not how they were in the past, or might be in the future, and ask the question, “what brings us to this moment?”
“Through the practice of postures, we release pent-up tensions that have accumulated in our body, and we further refine our physical senses so that we become sensitive, adaptive and resilient.”
Donna Farhi
Included in the retreat cost is a copy of the book "Bringing Yoga to Life" by Donna Farhi
The retreat will include yoga asana, meditation and pranayama sessions, with kirtan and bhajans (chanting) and delicious, home cooked, wheat free, vegan meals commencing with Friday night dinner.

Ostii teaches a flowing vinyasa practice for grounding, strength and stability. He focuses on acceptance and nurturing of one's own body and being, incorporating massage and self-healing techniques of Oki-do yoga. He promotes mindfulness, chanting, pranayama, diet and community relationship as the foundations of a strong yoga practice.

He has been practising yoga for ten years and teaching for eight, studying with teachers in Australia, India and Europe. Through training in Postural Integration - a deep tissue, holistic bodywork, and studies in anatomy, advaita, tantra and contemporary shamanism, Ostii has broadened his approach to yoga as a path to open, liberate and integrate body, heart and mind.

The 2 day retreat commences at 4pm on Friday 20th August and finishes at 4pm on Sunday 22nd August.
